88.3 The Journey, a Christian radio station in Keene, Texas, starts the Carter
Blood Drive. This is where the community comes together to donate blood to the Carter Blood-care organization. Carter Blood-care is a nonprofit organization that helps those
who need blood.
This event will take place at the Chisholm Trail Academy parking lot, Chisholm
Trail Pkwy, Texas, from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm November 2. Everyone is encouraged to
come and donate. Kyle Hines, the music director for the station says that donors will receive a complimentary "on repeat" t-shirt as a thank you because they want to encourage more people to donate in the future.
In the United States, 32,000 pints of donated blood are used each day. These
donations help save millions of lives. With your donations, that number is expected to
increase. You can sign up in person at the event or online to give blood regularly. The
donation process is free and will go towards the Carter Blood-care organization who will
send the donations to neighboring hospitals
