Josaphat Zemleduch began his role as the new marketing and public relations director in the Advancement office at Southwestern Adventist University (SWAU) office Sept. 12. He brings a passion for design and creativity to the department with a bachelor’s in visual communication and a master’s in communication. “Our university is part of God’s mission for mankind,” Zemleduch shares. “I am honored to serve in this endeavor.”
SWAU Vice President for Advancement Tony Reyes says, “he brings an important skill set and experience to the department.”
Zemleduch is familiar with SWAU. He served as the assistant director for financial aid starting in 2015. Busy with student finance, he always took on external design and video projects for the university. Zemleduch has also worked freelance communication projects for the Adventist church including the General Conference, the North American Division, and the Inter-American Division. Zemleduch hopes to utilize the marketing department as a laboratory for current students to harness their creativity and further develop their portfolios.
Zemleduch likes to travel, try new kinds of food, and has a passion for photography. He co-owns a creative agency called Zemleduch Creative with his wife, Licci Zemleduch, assistant professor in the communication and business departments. Together, their mission here at SWAU is to prepare students for the workforce, be servants in their communities, and most importantly, a witness for God.
