Barrow Takes on Big Screen

Charismatic, reliable, and altruistic are three words that describe Keith Barrow. He likes to explore new cities, try new foods, and spend time with friends and family. Barrow is a sophomore communication major at Southwestern Adventist University (SWAU) and you might see him play sports, sing, and serve as a Student Association leader.

His brother, Kyle Barrow, motivates him to not give up and continue in any circumstance. Barrow had a sneak peek at SWAU life in high school when he visited his brother, who also attends SWAU. He fell in love with the environment and people. He chose SWAU to start fresh and grow in his future profession.

His father’s side of the family is from Barbados, but Barrow was born and raised in Maryland. Barrow was homeschooled until his sophomore year in high school when he went to Richmond Academy in Virginia. He has a passion for math and children which guided him to choose education as a profession. However, he felt a pull towards a different passion: film. The fear of changing careers put this dreams on hold. At the end of his sophomore year, he finally changed his career to communication while his long-term goal is to become a movie director and own a short film company.

His passion is truly his career because he loves to watch movies. His favorite movie is “Captain America: Civil War.” Barrow likes to take pictures, knows how to pose, and can dress for any occasion. He loves his friends and may greet you one day with a great big smile.
